This Santoku is a classic Japanese knife model with a wide 19 cm blade. It´s a versatile chef`s tool for cutting, slicing,chopping or dicing meat, fish, vegetables and fruit. Slicing is enhanced by an additional deflector and holes on the right side of the blade. The slices do not stick on the blade and the cutting resistance is reduced.
This set contains 3 knives:
- Santoku Chef´s knife, 18 cm, scalloped edge. Efficient chef´s tool to cut, chop, slice and dice.
- Universal knife, 11 cm, wavy edge. Preferred tool to cut soft and juicy fruits and vegetables, e.g. tomatoes
- Vegetable knife, 10 cm. A small and handy knife to chop and peel fruit and vegetables.
The blade is classic Santoku shape, length 18 cm.
The blade is scalloped, this prevent food from tearing and produce intact slices of food. The scallops allow the blade to slide past the food without catching or bending it. This helps moist or clingy food to fall away from the blade. This enables fatigue-free work and protects the cutting edge.
